Raids on to curb food adulteration ahead of Diwali
Sources said that the samples of Khoba Roll Sweets were collected from the establishment of Sangam Sweets, samples of suspected Khova Barfi and Besan Laddu were collected while samples of suspected Besan Laddu and chhena sweets were collected from the establishment of Anand Bihar Sweets and Namkeen and other items from Om Sweets.
Samples of suspicious Besan Laddu and Paida were collected from the establishment of Vishnu Sweets, while the sample of suspicious Besan Laddu was collected from the establishment of Rahul Sweets, then samples of suspected Besan Laddu and Peda were collected from the establishment of Rahul Sweets and finally suspicious from the establishment of Deep Sweets.
Samples of milk cakes and laddus were collected, as well as about 5 kg of contaminated laddus and 2 kg of contaminated peda kept in the said establishment were confiscated and destroyed and 8 in Ashokdeep Samples of khova barfi and khova were collected from the establishments of Sweets, Chankad, Gaya.
Along with this, all establishments were instructed to ensure cleanliness as per Schedule-4 of FSSR 2011, instructed to always keep food items covered and to mention the manufacturing date and last date of use of sweets. A total of 14 legal samples of suspicious food items were collected, which are being sent to the laboratory for chemical testing.
